Danny, from Australia, is a doctor of medicine.
"Open your mouth, please." "Bow your head, open your mouth, okay..." Early in the morning of 6th May, he started his day as a volunteer for nucleic acid testing in white, a protective clothing.
Xu Lifeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Changling Community, told reporters that Danny took the initiative to sign up as a volunteer a few days ago.
Danny speaks fluent Mandarin and has no trouble communicating with residents. Because of his tall stature, he sometimes has to squat to take samples with cotton swabs, which is a bit laborious, but he works meticulously.
During the break time, Danny told reporters that he studied at Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, and now he has obtained a doctorate in medicine from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
This is not the first time Danny involved in nucleic acid testing volunteer work. Besides, he has also participated the training in Fenghua District People's Hospital, and obtained the certificate. Thus, he is quite familiar with the process.
“I'm a doctor, and I should contribute to epidemic prevention." Danny said that he was very happy to help Ningbo in epidemic prevention, and he said that he would always be on call day and night.
At 9 am that day, after Danny finished the work of nucleic acid testing, he joined the team maintaining order of the crowd. He said that he has not returned to Australia for almost three years and misses his hometown very much. "Hope for an early end of the epidemic, let’s all work hard together!”
